Visitor Safety

While we do our best to highlight possible hazards at Norney Grange, we cannot predict every risk. With uneven ground and extensive woodlands, please stay alert and watch for potential hazards throughout your visit.

  • Please check the weather forecast before you arrive and dress appropriately. If conditions worsen during your visit, we will try to continue the tour indoors, but we cannot guarantee that weather will allow for a full garden tour.

  • Our property is home to local wildlife, so please keep your distance from any animals you may encounter. Ticks may also be present during certain seasons, particularly in outdoor and garden areas, so we recommend checking yourself after your visit and seeking medical advice if you have any concerns.

  • For your safety, children must be supervised at all times. Please stay on designated pathways, avoid areas marked "no public access", keep off garden beds and walls, take care on stairs and outdoor steps, and stay clear of water tanks and water features, which may be unstable. Please do not climb trees, and take extra care in garden areas where active beehives are present.

  • If you are joining a tour, please remain with your guide at all times and do not wander off. We also ask that you be mindful of local conditions, review our FAQs before visiting, and be courteous to staff and other visitors. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your tour begins, as tours will start promptly at the advertised time.

Thank you for helping us keep visits to Norney Grange safe and enjoyable!
